Remembering Doug Milton
Christie’s Place sadly announces the passing of Doug Milton, the devoted husband of Irene Milton, founder of Christie’s Place, on Friday, March 28, 2025. Doug was a pillar of unwavering support—his love, faith, and presence a steady light through all seasons for his family, friends, and community. His kindness touched many, offering warmth without condition and wisdom without judgment. Doug’s legacy lives not only in the lives he touched but in the steadfast devotion he showed to his family and community. He leaves behind a world brighter for having known him, and hearts forever grateful for the grace of his life. We send love and light to his family during this difficult time.
Christie’s Place has been selected by AIDS Healthcare Foundation as a beneficiary team for their World AIDS Day fundraising campaign. World AIDS Day is a global movement commemorated on December 1st every year to unite people in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
One hundred percent of the funds we raise for World AIDS Day will go directly to Organization Name and will be matched dollar-for-dollar (up to $10,000) by AIDS Healthcare Foundation. We are asking for your help to raise $10,000 by World AIDS Day (12/01/25) to support our lifesaving programs! Every donation made through our World AIDS Day fundraising page helps us keep the doors open and empower our community to achieve health and wellness.
Christie’s Place provides comprehensive social services in a caring, safe and welcoming home-like environment.
Change 4 Women (C4W) increases the statewide impact of programs for women of color living with HIV/AIDS through the development of best practices for service delivery, as well as the creation of coordinated networks of highly skilled providers who can deliver direct services in trauma-informed, gender-affirming ways.
Christie’s Place’s Ryan White Part A HIV Coordinated Services Program for women, children, infants, youth, and families successfully helps women and families impacted by HIV in San Diego.
Christie’s Place has developed a model of trauma-informed behavioral health and social service provision that has drawn heavily from over 25 years of experience working with women, children and families impacted by HIV
